Twitter: Thousands of users report Elon Musk’s platform down

Thousands of Twitter users experienced a significant outage this evening, starting just before 7 PM Eastern time. As of this writing, some users still have issues accessing the website. According to Down detector, most people have had problems accessing the website itself — only a fraction had difficulty loading the social network through its apps.

Users who couldn’t access the website were met with a message that said, “Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing—we’re going to fix it and have things back to normal soon.” The outage appears to be affecting users worldwide, with reports coming in from Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States.

Twitter is yet to clarify the cause of the outage, but they have acknowledged the issue and are currently investigating it. The Guardian reported that Twitter Support tweeted, “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing Twitter, and we’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”

Twitter Inc was down for thousands of users on Wednesday, according to the outage tracking website DownDetector.com. Due to this, Twitter users had to face many problems accessing the website.

Reports suggest that the outage started around 7 PM Eastern, with its peak being reported at 7:44 PM. The issue affected most users trying to access through their desktop, but a small fraction faced problems using Twitter apps. According to The Guardian, when users attempted to log in, they were met with an error message.

Twitter Inc is yet to comment on the issue and has not provided any information regarding when it will be resolved. This development shocks many users who rely on Twitter for news, entertainment, and interpersonal communication. At this point, we can only wait for an official update from Twitter Inc.

We hope the issue is resolved soon and users can enjoy their Twitter experience again. Until then, let’s hope for the best.

We will keep you updated with any further developments. Stay tuned!

Musk is also working to bring new facilities to Twitter.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk is working hard to bring new facilities to the platform that could solve this issue and make it easier for users to access their accounts in the future. He recently revealed plans to introduce two-factor authentication via text messages and an additional layer of security to help make sure users are safe on the platform. This would be a welcome development for Twitter users who have had to endure this outage tonight, and it could go a long way in restoring their confidence in Twitter’s security measures. Musk is also reportedly looking into developing new ways for people to access their accounts if they forget their passwords or have any other login issues.

It remains to be seen whether these new measures will prevent future outages on the platform. Still, Twitter is taking steps in the right direction by introducing more security features and giving its users more control over their accounts. Hopefully, this outage tonight was an isolated incident, but if similar issues arise in the future, Twitter will be better equipped to handle them.
